Prior to making his home in Florida, Ray served as the Charles A. Dana professor of music at Randolph College in Virginia where he also was recognized with the Katherine Graves Davidson distinguished faculty award. He has concertized and conducted piano master classes in the USA, Canada, East and West Europe, Australia, Asia, South America, and the Caribbean.

Following a prizewinning debut at the Geneva International Piano Competition, he performed in recital at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall and appeared in concert and with orchestra in prestigious venues including Paris’s Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, London’s Royal Albert Hall, and New York’s Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center.

Dr. Luck has been a guest teacher on Fulbright senior lectureships in Barbados, Canada, and Greece, and has toured the Caribbean as arts envoy for the US State Department. Certified as Master Teacher by the American Music Teachers National Association, Ray gives frequent performance and pedagogy workshops in the Caribbean. He was appointed a Member of the Order of Service of Guyana with the Cacique’s Crown of Honor for outstanding musical achievement.

Saint Lucia Summer Piano Course for Advanced Amateurs

The St Lucia Summer Piano Course for Advanced Amateurs provides an ideal opportunity for you to benefit from goal-oriented piano lessons with Ray Luck in a relaxed and idyllic tropical setting. You are invited to indulge your passion for music and the piano in a sympathetic atmosphere among a small number of other amateurs in the exotic private gardens of Belargo Park on the beautiful holiday isle of St Lucia. Come study your own favorite piano pieces, and then why not extend your stay in St Lucia and enjoy to the full one of the Caribbean’s most popular holiday destinations!

Enrollment in this program is limited to six participants who will each receive three hours of individual tuition in an open group setting. There will be an opening and closing reception, a recital by Dr Luck, and a final concert by participants. Optional activities not included in the fees and subject to confirmation will include an evening group meal in a local village restaurant, a sight-seeing trip to Soufrière, tai-chi sessions, and a scenic Segway ride.
